REX DUPAIN | THE SAND SERIES
At first glance the process feels like collage using scissors,
blades, and fragments of past pictures. However, the work
changes once it leaves the studio. The figures are transported
outside and pegged into a trough of sand where they can
transform into a new environment. What begins as fragments
from pictures becomes a micro world waiting to be photographed.

Rex Dupain, the acclaimed Sydney-born photographer known for his evocative explorations of Australian culture and form presents UNO MODO, an off-site exhibition at Classic Throttle Shop. Set against the dynamic backdrop of one of Australasia’s most iconic automotive showrooms, this unique presentation brings Dupain’s compelling visual language into dialogue with the timeless design and craftsmanship of classic cars. The exhibition is open to visitors Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, and Saturdays, 9:00 am–2:00 pm, offering an engaging cultural experience for art and automotive enthusiasts alike at
50/64 Pacific Highway, North Sydney NSW 2060, Australia.
