'Immersion', is a bold expansion of my gestural stroke work, a six-month exploration into the raw elegance of granulated oil on canvas.

Traditionally, artists begin with smooth, commercially prepared paints, but I have always been drawn to pushing boundaries. This time, I sought to honour the process in reverse-embracing restraint while still challenging the limits of oil as a medium.

While my past work has been about bold, un-contained gestures breaking free from the canvas, Immersion refines that energy into something more distilled yet equally powerful. These paintings are not about thick, visceral textures but rather the interplay of movement and control, expressed through granulated washes that hold a quiet intensity. The result is a collection of works that feel both liberated and deliberate-subtle yet commanding in their presence.
